Surat Metro
Surat Metro is an under-construction rapid transit system in Surat, Gujarat, comprising two corridors (Red Line and Green Line) totaling 40.35 km with 37-38 stations. Construction began 18 January 2021; as of the research date (July 2026) the system has not opened to the public, though trial runs began in March/April 2026 on an 8.5 km viaduct stretch between Dream City and Althan Tenement. GMRC had targeted a partial public opening around June 2026, but no confirmed inauguration had occurred as of this research, with full Phase 1 completion still projected for December 2027.
