Ahmedabad Metro
Ahmedabad Metro is a rapid transit system serving Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar, Gujarat, operated by GMRC. It opened on 4 March 2019 and, as of mid-2026, comprises four operational lines (Blue, Red, Yellow, Violet) covering roughly 68-70 km with 54 currently operational stations, plus one confirmed near-term addition. Phase 2 extensions (an airport corridor and a Violet Line extension to Shahpur) were approved/tendered in 2026 but are multi-year projects not expected to open in 2026.
