Bhopal Metro

Bhopal Metro (officially branded 'Bhoj Metro' after Raja Bhoj, an 11th-century king of Malwa) is a rapid transit system serving Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, operated by MPMRCL. Its first operational segment, the Orange Line priority corridor from Subhash Nagar to AIIMS (8 stations, about 6.22 km), opened commercially on 21 December 2025. The rest of Phase 1 - the remaining 8 Orange Line stations toward Karond Chauraha and the entire 13-station Blue Line - is under construction, with multiple secondary sources (not Wikipedia itself) citing a 2027 completion target and no confirmed 2026 opening.
