Indore Metro

Indore Metro is a rapid transit system serving Indore, the largest city in Madhya Pradesh, operated by MPMRCL. Its first phase, a 6 km Yellow Line priority corridor with 5 stations, opened on 31 May 2025, inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the 300th birth anniversary of Maharani Ahilyabai Holkar (the 5 stations were subsequently renamed after historical warrior queens). A further 10.21 km/11-station extension (Super Corridor 2 through Radisson Square) is officially confirmed in Wikipedia's infobox to open in January 2026. The remaining 13 stations to the Airport are under construction/contract-awarded, with secondary sources citing a 2027 completion target for the full 33.53 km Yellow Line.
