Kanpur Metro
Kanpur Metro is a rapid transit system serving Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, operated by UPMRC. Its first elevated stretch (IIT Kanpur to Moti Jheel) opened on 28 December 2021, and an underground extension into the old city (Chunniganj to Kanpur Central) opened on 30 May 2025. A further extension to Naubasta and a second corridor (Blue Line) are in final testing/construction with 2026 opening targets.
