Kochi Metro

Kochi Metro is a rapid transit system serving the city of Kochi in Kerala, India, built and operated by Kochi Metro Rail Limited (KMRL). It was inaugurated on 17 June 2017, with commercial passenger service beginning 19 June 2017, and today runs a single operational line, Line 1 (Blue Line), from Aluva to Thrippunithura Terminal, covering 28 km across 25 stations. A second line (Phase II, JLN Stadium to Infopark via Kakkanad) is under construction, with commissioning estimates from various sources ranging from mid-2026 to August 2027.
