Namo Bharat is India's first Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS), a semi-high-speed rail corridor connecting Delhi, Ghaziabad and Meerut, operated by NCRTC (with day-to-day operations run by DB RRTS Operations India, a Deutsche Bahn subsidiary). The 82.15 km Delhi-Meerut corridor opened in five phases between October 2023 and February 2026, reaching full operational status end-to-end (Sarai Kale Khan to Modipuram) on 22 February 2026. Four stations in Meerut (Meerut South, Shatabdi Nagar, Begumpul, Modipuram) also serve as interchanges with the separate Meerut Metro (MRTS) network.
