Patna Metro

Patna Metro is partially operational: a short priority-corridor stretch of the Blue Line (Corridor 2) opened to passengers on 7 October 2025 (Patliputra Bus Terminal, Zero Mile, Bhootnath), extended to Malahi Pakri on 2 July 2026, bringing the running length to about 6.2 km. Khemnichak was inaugurated the same day but trains currently pass through without stopping due to incomplete work. The rest of the Blue Line (underground section toward Patna Junction/Danapur direction, targeted around 2027) and the entire Red Line (Corridor 1, Danapur Cantonment - Khemnichak, still under construction) remain unopened.
